The Sony HDR-XR520E handycam is one such device, equipped with a “Exmor R” CMOS sensor which provides the best low light image sensing in its class. The Sony HDR-XR520E handycam features 12 Mega Pixel still image capture with a professional-quality Sony G lens. The camera also features Face Detection, Smile Shutter and Image Stabilization technology which works via “Optical Steady Shot” technology. For surround sound recording you have a Dolby® Digital 5.1 Sound Creator allowing you to capture sound from 5 directions and encode it in real-time. The Camera has a 240 GB HDD Drive which is the largest in this camera’s class allowing prolonged HD recording and to store all that audio data..
